Scout is part of the Sustainable Salons, utilising a network of collectors, recyclers, manufacturers, and distributors to make sure up to 95% of materials are diverted from landfill. We’re pretty proud of that!
Hair
Hair is one of the most underestimated renewable resources out there. That’s why Sustainable Salons have done the research and developed new ways to use recycled hair – like hair boons to help soak up oil, and compost to grow kai.
Foil
Aluminium is infinitely recyclable! Re-melting used aluminium foil saves up to 95% of the energy and 97% of the water needed to produce new product.
Paper
The most well-known recyclable material out there. Sustainable Salons help us to recycle everything from product packing, magazines, and even wooden spatulas!
Plastics
We’ve already worked hard to eliminate the majority of plastics used in the Scout salon and our products offered – which we’re proud of! Sustainable Salons help recycle plastics into awesome items like sunglasses, plant pot, dog leashes and more!
